We are pleased that you have taken time to visit the Lee County School District website. I would describe our efforts as urgent transformation. Efforts to turn the district into a Great district must be inclusive of all stakeholders. We seek to strengthen the bonds between the community, community leaders, agencies, staff, parents, and our precious students. We must keep the good of students at the heart of all we do. We do not take this task lightly. We seek on a daily basis to enhance learning and seek to be a little better each day at delivery of effective teaching.

 

We are proud of the many accomplishments that were made. The graduating class for 2010 earned nearly 4.5 million dollars of scholarship funding to pursue higher education. With the consolidation of our two middle schools into a new marvelous facility, Lee Central Middle School provides our students with cutting edge educational technology. We also experienced success in athletics and the arts. Additionally, we are proud that West Lee Elementary was the first school in the district to achieve Red Carpet status.

 

Everyone is working diligently to prepare for a year that we feel will be the best one yet. The district’s focus, as always, will be to provide a quality education that meets the needs of all students. We will continue to look for ways to provide the best instruction possible for each and every child. We are most fortunate to have a highly qualified and dedicated staff to meet the needs of our students.
